Students meet to compete against other schools in the region. The competition is trivia-based, so students should be well-versed in at least one or two academic subjects, plus have knowledge of a wide variety of literature.

Broadcast Team

Every morning when school is in session

Students on the Broadcast Team are in charge of creating, organizing and presenting the morning announcements, which is broadcast through the school during home room each day.

Bulletin Board Club

7:30-8 a.m. | Dates will vary, on average 3-5 times/month

For 7th & 8th grade students who are trustworthy, reliable and creative, and would like to focus on service and volunteerism. Students will use their skills to to maintain the school bulletin boards while working with teachers to assist with creating exciting and informative boards throughout the school.

Environmental Club

Biweekly

Educate others about the problems affecting our planet; work with a recycling program at WMS; stop bus and car idling at pickup; and raise awareness and fundraise for larger, worldwide projects that are saving the earth.

Robotics Club

Robotics Club is a powerful blend of technical skills and personal growth. Students learn by doing - designing real robots, collaborating with teammates, and competing against one another and possibly other schools/districts. Our goal is to help students prepare for the robotics team at the high school level.

Science Olympiad

Before & after school as needed | Dues: $50 per school year

A team competition in which students compete in 23 events pertaining to various fields of science, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics and engineering. Over 7,800 middle school and high school teams from 50 U.S. states compete each year.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are chosen to represent WMS in a variety of ways throughout the school year:

  • Liaisons between the school and the community
  • Assist with campus tours, answering questions and stay in touch with newly-admitted students
  • Present during open houses, shadow days and orientation events

Wildcats in Action

TBD | Dues: $10 per school year

Wildcats in Action is acommunity service club dedicated to making a difference. The goal is to complete one community service project each 9 weeks and to empower students to plan and execute one major project by the end of the year; this larger project will be designed by the members of the club to address a cause that the group as a whole are passionate about.
